Agents in San Francisco

I'm thinking of getting an agent. Any suggestions?

    Also try Tonry, I know a few folks that like them. Check out Voice One Studio on 3rd St. too, they do some casting and lots of classes, including 'meet an agent' classes.

      So, aren't talent agents kinda like temp agencies - you're better off being signed up with multiple agencies?

        You run the risk of pissing them all off. They want you to make money for them. If you keep getting work through someone else, they're not going to work hard for you. But, if you want to be in more than one market (you travel), that's ok. Most of the auditions and work you get will be the fruit of your own networking, but you should still 'tip' the agent so they keep you in mind for things.
        So, use the internet, mail/email your demos to as many studios as you can, and don't bank on any agent. They are just one way to find work.
